Spain is a country in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula characterized by mountain ranges, high plateaus such as the Meseta Central, fertile river valleys, and coastlines along the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

📍 Spain is a country located in Southern Europe, occupying most of the Iberian Peninsula. It is bordered by Portugal to the west and France and Andorra to the northeast, with a small land border with Gibraltar to the south. It has coastlines along the Atlantic Ocean to the west and northwest and the Mediterranean Sea to the east and south. It lies just north of Morocco across the Strait of Gibraltar.
Spain’s landscape is varied, featuring central plateaus (Meseta), mountain ranges such as the Pyrenees and Sierra Nevada, and coastal plains. The country also includes island territories such as the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa.
Spain’s location between the Atlantic and Mediterranean has historically made it a major center for trade, exploration, and cultural exchange between Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
