Guam is an unincorporated territory of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean characterized by volcanic hills, limestone plateaus, tropical forests, and coral-fringed coastlines.

📍 Guam is an unincorporated territory of the United States located in the western Pacific Ocean, part of the Mariana Islands. It lies east of Philippines and south of Northern Mariana Islands, with no land borders and surrounded entirely by the Pacific Ocean.
Guam’s geography is characterized by a mix of limestone plateau and volcanic terrain within an area of about 549 square kilometers (212 square miles). The northern part of the island is relatively flat with cliffs and coral formations, while the southern region is more mountainous and covered with tropical vegetation. Its coastline includes sandy beaches, bays, and coral reefs, while inland areas feature rivers, forests, and rolling hills. The surrounding waters support rich marine ecosystems. Guam’s strategic location in the western Pacific and natural features have shaped its role in military activity, transportation, tourism, and regional trade.
