📍 Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory located in the North Atlantic Ocean, situated about 1,000 km (620 miles) east of United States, off the coast of North Carolina. It is an isolated island group with no land borders, consisting of a main island and numerous smaller islets connected by bridges.
Bermuda’s geography is characterized by a low-lying chain of coral islands surrounded by extensive reefs. The territory covers about 54 square kilometers (21 square miles) and features gently rolling terrain, rocky shorelines, and pink-sand beaches. Despite its small size, Bermuda has a relatively lush landscape supported by a mild subtropical climate and regular rainfall. Its surrounding reefs create shallow waters that have historically posed hazards to navigation but also support rich marine ecosystems. Bermuda’s remote Atlantic location and natural features have shaped its development as a center for tourism, finance, and maritime activity.
📍 Aruba is an island country located in the southern Caribbean Sea, just off the northern coast of Venezuela. It is one of the constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, alongside Curaçao and Sint Maarten. Aruba lies outside the main hurricane belt and has no land borders, being surrounded entirely by the Caribbean Sea.
Aruba’s geography is characterized by a relatively flat and arid landscape, with a dry climate and limited freshwater resources. The island covers about 180 square kilometers (69 square miles) and features sandy beaches along its western and southern coasts, while the eastern coast is more rugged, with rocky shorelines and stronger waves. Vegetation is sparse and adapted to dry conditions, including cacti and low shrubs, though the island supports diverse marine life in its surrounding waters. Aruba’s location and stable climate have made it a major tourism destination, while its natural features and coastal environment play a central role in its economy and development.
What is an ISO Country Code?
ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used globally in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.
Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the country's ISO two-letter code.
ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
