Angola is a large country on the southwestern coast of Africa, featuring Atlantic Ocean coastlines, tropical forests, vast savannas, and the central highland plateau that dominates much of its interior landscape.

📍 Angola is a country located in Southwestern Africa, along the Atlantic coast, and is part of the southern African region. It is bordered by Namibia to the south, Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north and northeast, and Zambia to the east, while the Atlantic Ocean lies to the west. Angola also has a small northern exclave called Cabinda, which is separated from the rest of the country by a narrow strip of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Angola’s landscape varies widely, featuring coastal plains along the Atlantic, rising to plateaus and highlands in the interior. The central highlands are the most densely populated and agriculturally important region. Major rivers, including the Congo and Zambezi river systems, originate or pass through parts of the country, shaping its environment and ecosystems. Angola’s location and natural resources have made it historically significant for trade and regional influence in southern Africa.
