Qatar is a small country on a peninsula in the Persian Gulf characterized by flat desert landscapes, sandy plains, and a long coastline along the Arabian Gulf.

📍 Qatar is a country located in the Middle East in Western Asia, situated on a small peninsula that extends into the Persian Gulf from the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and is otherwise surrounded by the Persian Gulf. It lies near Bahrain to the northwest across the gulf and close to United Arab Emirates to the southeast.
Qatar’s terrain is mostly flat and arid, consisting of desert landscapes with low limestone formations. There are no major rivers, and freshwater resources are limited. Its coastal position along the Persian Gulf has historically supported fishing and pearling.
Today, Qatar’s location and natural resources, particularly natural gas and oil, have made it an important economic and strategic center in the Middle East.
