The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea characterized by low-lying limestone islands, coral reefs, and clear tropical coastal waters.

📍 Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory located in the western Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica. The territory consists of three islands—Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman—and has no land borders, being surrounded entirely by the Caribbean Sea.
The Cayman Islands’ geography is characterized by low-lying limestone islands with generally flat terrain and limited freshwater resources. The territory covers about 264 square kilometers (102 square miles) and features sandy beaches, coastal wetlands, and coral reefs surrounding the islands. Vegetation includes mangroves, shrubs, and tropical plants adapted to the climate. The surrounding waters are clear and rich in marine life, contributing to the islands’ reputation as a major destination for diving and tourism. Its location and natural features have also supported its development as a global financial center and hub for maritime activity.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used globally in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the country's ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
ISO-2 Code: KY
