Bangladesh is a low-lying country in South Asia formed by the vast Ganges–Brahmaputra delta, characterized by fertile floodplains, numerous rivers, and a tropical coastline along the Bay of Bengal.
📍 Bangladesh is a country located in South Asia, situated on the northeastern edge of the Indian subcontinent along the Bay of Bengal. It is almost entirely surrounded by India to the west, north, and east, with a small southeastern border with Myanmar, and a coastline along the Bay of Bengal to the south.
Bangladesh’s landscape is dominated by low-lying river plains formed by the Ganges (Padma), Brahmaputra (Jamuna), and Meghna river systems, making it one of the largest and most fertile deltas in the world. The country is highly prone to flooding due to its flat terrain and monsoon climate. Its location has historically made it an important center for agriculture, trade, and cultural exchange in South Asia, while also presenting challenges related to natural disasters and population density.
