As an island nation, Seychelles has no land borders and is surrounded entirely by the Indian Ocean. It consists of 115 islands, including both granitic islands and coral atolls spread across a wide area.
Seychelles’ terrain varies from mountainous and forested islands to low-lying coral islands. The country is known for its tropical climate, pristine beaches, and rich marine biodiversity. Its location in the Indian Ocean has historically made it part of maritime trade routes between Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
