Sudan is a country in northeastern Africa characterized by vast desert and semi-arid landscapes, the Nile River and its tributaries, and plains stretching across the Sahara and Sahel regions.

📍 Sudan is a country located in Northeast Africa, positioned between North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, Libya to the northwest, Chad to the west, Central African Republic to the southwest, South Sudan to the south, Ethiopia to the southeast, and Eritrea to the east, with a coastline along the Red Sea to the northeast.
Sudan’s landscape includes vast deserts in the north, part of the Sahara, and more fertile savanna regions in the south. The Nile River, formed by the confluence of the White Nile and Blue Nile in the capital region, is the country’s most important geographic feature, supporting agriculture and settlement.
Sudan’s location has historically made it a crossroads between North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, influencing trade, culture, and history.
