LOL Cincinnatians are whimps! j/k I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona for 26 years this is normal weather there. It’s supposed to be 100 today and tomorrow. Back down to the high 80s this weekend. They talk about humidity up here and not in Arizona, but 110 plus in Arizona is still miserable. It is hot here, but I do seem to be able to tolerate it more then a lot of other folks around here and accrding to the news. LOL I guess the record here on this date is 99 and it’s supposed to break it 100! when I was in Phoenix, Arizona back in 1991-1992 it hit 122 the record there and that was miserable! Phoenix, Arizona averages 110 and above all summer easily. And it never rains. Okay rarely. I’m still in what I feel is a prettier, cleanier place and where people are more friendly and not rude. It’s only going to be like these high 90s and 100s for a few days until the weekend it’s no biggie! Up until now it’s been a nice summer here to me, like 80s all summer and rain now and then. It will be back to 89 on Saturday so a few days is nothing not all summer that Phoenixians put up with it!
I love it when people first come to this town to visit and tour, one question often asked, is “Where is WKRP in Cincinnati”? LMAO! I asked someone that when I first came to this town last year as well! I’ll admit it! LMAO! There never was a WKRP in Cincinnati radio station, it was only a t.v. show. LMAO! How many years later do people ask this question, when they first come to Cincinnati?
But, what t.v. shows have you enjoyed and made an impact on your life?
Television to me today is bland and dry. I don’t watch a lot of t.v. and not a lot of time. And few things worth watching.
But, to me some of the greatest shows ever were Home Improvement and Seinfeld those shows were hilarious! I grew up watching Home Improvement and the ismpsons. But, when will the Simpsons end? It’s been airing awhile. Three good sitcoms aired when I were a kid good fmaily shows: Growing Pains, Family Ties and the cosby Show. All classics! Quantum Leap was a good show but only got into it recently! Good sci fi show and good morals.
Star Trek the Next Generation meant a lot to me and I still love it. It was one of the few things my family did together as a family. On Sunday night my dad would get Little Caesar’s Pizza and we’d watch Star Trek the Next Generation. I just love it for that fact! I have few childhood memories where my family did things together, because well we didn’t do things together.

Is serving God good or bad? It depends on a few things! The heart ultimately and the focus! Lets look at this indephthly!
First of all, lets read a story in the Gospel accounts:
Luke 10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Jesus clearly corrected or chastized Martha out of love “Martha, Martha.” See in this story Martha was clearly distracted at serving and lost the main focus that her sister Mary obeyed! Mary obeyed Christ by sitting at His feet and listening to everything He had to say. While Martha was busy preparing and serving and lost the main key and focus!
Lets continue:
Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
These bible verses are often misunderstood! And are kind of scary!
Do not be deceived by ‘righteous Godly acts’ How can these things like driving out demonsand performing miracles be done in His name? Very simple! Jesus’ name and the power of His name and His spirit are very powerful it can do all of these works. But, what use are these good works or serving if Jesus says “depart from me I never knew you”? And why would Jesus say it? We can find this in other verses. And the bible all works together it does not contradict.
To be a true follower of Jesus and His ways we do what He did, we live by Christ’s example! And this is the Father’s will! Jesus obeyed His Father and His will always! To obey Christ and His word is to obey the Father and to do His will! I’ll demonstarte this:
Jesus clearly in this verse did the Father’s will. Many other verses show christ always did the Father’s will!
Matthew 26:39 Going a little farther, he [Jesus] fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
What is the Father’s will?
John 6:40 “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (which ties into John 3:16)
John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
We can do greater things then Christ did! In His name! But, what use is it if we don’t live by Christ’s example and it to line up with the Father’s will and instead He says “depart from me I never knew you”? (Matthew 7:22-23) Don’t you also want to be known by Christ, not just do great things in His name? What point is there if we don’t have His promises by knowing Him and no eternal life?
John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
This includes people who really know Him and those who don’t!
Jesus says “whatever in my name that you ask.” To me whatever means whatever! There are no conditions or restraints!
The key where Jesus does not say “depart from me I never knew you” it has to line up with the Father’s will. Jesus did everything according to the Father’s will! And another key is your heart towards God! And obeying Him! Obeying Him is loving Him!
John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
John 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
John 14:24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. (Again from the Father)
John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
(It was the Father’s will to send the Holy Spirit or Counselor to those who really know Christ as well. Not to those who don’t.) This Holy Spirit will remind you of everything Christ has said to us!
Jesus will not say “depart from me I never knew you” if you remain in God’s love and obey Him. God does not change, He is the same yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) so His word and laws remain. If you obey God you love him and therefore He’ll love you and you can share in His promises! God is not mocked (Galatians 6:7) He knows who are really His! Those who are really His Are those Who obey Him by doing the Father’s will and therefore loving Him, those are who are really His!
John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
If you remain in His love. To remain is also known as to stay. If you stay somewhere you don’t leave from there! And therefore you will never hear “depart from me I never knew you.” And who wants to hear that? Isn’t that scary?
Also obeying and loving Christ doing the Father’s will is obeying the word, remember Jesus is the word (John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.) So obeying the word you obey Christ and you remain or stay in Him and His love! And get the promises of His word! God keeps His promises or His word He cannot lie! (Titus 1:2)
Remember God judges the heart:
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Do you see how this ties into John 1:1? Jesus is the word so He judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart)
Lets continue…
John 15:26 “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.”
The Counselor is also known as the Holy Spirit! True believers have His Spirit and not just doing things in Jesus’ name!
John 16:2-4 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you.
“They” is in reference to the religious in Jesus’ time it was the pharisees and saduccess! Todays’ time it is many “Christians” and religious folk!
John 16:15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.
John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Again people who really know him and love Him by obeying him and those who don’t! Jesus name is powerful!
So according to John 16:15 Jesus owns everything that belongs to His father! This is how we share in His blessings and gifts according to John 16:23! Those gifts are meaningless without love!
1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
True love again is obeying God and doing the Father’s will. Jesus said if you love me you’ll obey me! And He says those are whom I love!

John 16:26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.
Do you see how John 16:26 relates to Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ ?
You see you can ask anything in Jesus’ name and the Father will obey you, because of the name above all names whether you really know Him obey Him and love Him or not. And in those instances Jesus did not ask the Father on your behalf, or in other words it wasn’t His will, it was just the power of Jesus’ name who the Father obeys! We know Jesus alawys did the Father’s will! This is why Jesus said “I will not the Father on your behalf” in John 16:26. And we also know the Father keeps to His word, so He will obey anything asked in his Son’s Jesus’ name!
If you knew Jesus instead of just doing things in His name, but by obeying him and doing the Father’s will therefore knowing him, you know the Father (John 14:7
If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”) and you share in the blessings and promises of the Kingdom found in the end of Revelation ans they are even now on earth and Jesus will not say “depart from me i never knew you” on that last day!
I’ll finish by saying…Look at Jesus’ prayers according to God’s (Father’s will) will right before His cryucifixion!:
John 17:1-26 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
A few questions I’ll ask you? Do you know Jesus and love him and obey Him, therefore obey His father like Jesus Himself did? Ask God to search your heart! No one wants Jesus to say “Depart from me I never knew you.”
I say absolutely! There are many truths in many religions just not absolute truth like in Jesus’ followers/Christians!
In fact my pastor who has a prophetic gift, used to listen to a lot of 60s and 70s stuff and God sometimes speaks to him through it now! Someone posted this 80s Christian rock song video on my profile and God is speaking to me through it and teaching me something. Why limit God? Did God not a speak through a donkey (2 Peter 2:16 But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—a beast without speech—who spoke with a man’s voice and restrained the prophet’s madness). Some Christians say: The only good music is Christian stuff, really? God used and uses Elvis and the Beatles, U2, you name it! Some say some of those started out Christian I’d agree! In fact I’d say all of them did!
But, if God is speaking to someone through someone doesn’t mean God is speaking to the other person the same thing. Or the whole body the same thing.
Some words are for an individual some are corporate. This is why each blog I write gets different people commenting. This is why when your pastor preaches sometimes the message is exactly what you needed to hear, sometimes it isn’t! Have faith those instances are for somebody else in the body!

Remember Jesus told Peter “I’ll make you a fisherman of man”? Why on earth would Jesus give this word to Matthew the tax collector? How does that make any sense. The words are different but the message is always the same!
Another thing: Yes if God uses people to write music, so does the devil! But, why do some Christians think even the Christian metal or hip hop is bad? Maybe it doesn’t do anything for you. But I’m glad it’s out there for the people it speaks to. We are all part of the same body not the same call or function! Lungs don’t understand hearts! Misunderstanding often happens for this simple fact! Also another reason sometimes some christians feed some babies meat! Jesus spoke in parables, only the wise understood it! His follwers!

CHICAGO (AP) – Bradley Bernstein’s parents say an electric cattle prod is the only thing that stops him from banging his head and violently punching his eyes, nearly blinding himself.
The Illinois couple’s fight to continue shock treatment on their severely autistic 48-year-old son and the uproar over a Massachusetts school that uses similar treatment, have pulled back the curtain on this extreme form of behavior modification. Critics call it outmoded, barbaric and unethical.
Even a leading supporter of the technique, Harvard-educated psychologist Matthew Israel, acknowledges, “The natural reaction is to be horrified.”
“It always has been very controversial and is not politically correct, and if you want to advance your career, you try to stay away from it,” said Israel, founder and director of the Judge Rotenberg Center, a residential school in Canton, Mass. The institution houses children and adults with autism, mental retardation and other behavioral and psychiatric disorders.
The school is under legislative and regulatory scrutiny for routinely using skin shocks on about half its 230 students to stop serious behavior problems, including self-injury.
Electric shocks and other painful or unpleasant treatments known as “aversive conditioning” were accepted more a generation ago. But mainstream psychiatry relies on new drugs and other methods that have proven effective.
Using this form of shock therapy is “cruel and unusual punishment,” said Dr. Louis Kraus, an associate professor of psychiatry at Chicago’s Rush University Medical Center. “The concept of doing that is frightening.”
Some states, including Illinois last year, have banned or severely restricted use of electric shocks in mental health treatment.
But Israel favors the technique over psychiatric drugs that he says make students too drowsy to learn and says most critics “have never seen children who have blinded themselves, or banged their head to the point of brain injury, or bit a hole in their cheek.”
Israel developed a device he calls a graduated electronic decelerator. It’s carried in backpacks students at his school wear, and elicits shocks through electrodes strapped on their arms and legs.
“The beauty of it is there’s no side effects,” Israel said. “It’s a temporary painful experience for two seconds.”
His school’s techniques are the subject of a bill pending in the Massachusetts Legislature and complaints including a lawsuit by a New York mother who says the shocks traumatized her now 18-year-old son.
The device used on Bradley Bernstein is a cattle prod. It used to be a long electrified rod, but the newer model is a handheld shocker about the size of a portable phone, with two short metal prongs.
Fran Bernstein, his mother, says it delivers a shock about as painful as a bee sting. Critics say it’s considerably stronger, akin to sticking a finger in an electric socket.
Often just seeing the device was enough to make Bradley stop hurting himself, Mrs. Bernstein said.
Bradley Bernstein only says a few words and sometimes hurts himself in frustration or opposition to his caretakers’ demands, his mother said. He is allergic to several drugs that could calm his behavior, she said.
The Bernsteins are fighting a Cook County judge’s March 2 ruling that said Bradley’s shock treatment violates an amendment to state law passed last May.
“Now we’re not going to be able to control him and we don’t know what’s going to happen,” said Mrs. Bernstein, of suburban Lincolnshire, Ill.
A therapist recommended the shocks when Bradley was a boy and he got the treatment routinely in group homes where he lived until the state law was enacted last year, his mother said.
Specialists at Trinity Services Inc., which took over the agency that used to care for Bradley, oppose shock treatment and helped change the law so it and other painful techniques are banned from group homes.
“This is something that our professional staff doesn’t believe is ethical,” said Trinity’s president, Art Dykstra.
Bradley Bernstein is the only group home patient in Illinois known to have received shock treatment in recent years. His parents agreed to a compromise to gradually stop the treatment, but sued when Trinity officials abruptly stopped it after the law changed, according to the their attorney, Robert O’Donnell.
The judge’s recent ruling said the change in Illinois law makes the Bernsteins’ complaint moot. O’Donnell is appealing and has enlisted Matthew Israel to help evaluate Bradley and determine whether his shock treatment should resume.
“Anything that causes pain isn’t necessarily cruel and inhumane,” Israel said. “If you go to a dentist or a surgeon, you’re going to be involved in temporary pain but have long-term hope of improvement.”
Trinity officials dispute the Bernsteins’ claim that their son’s behavior has grown worse without the shocks.
Bradley looked away and did not respond to questions during an attempt to interview him this week at his group home in suburban Des Plaines. Wearing a maroon sweat shirt and khaki pants, the gray-haired man wasn’t violent during the half-hour visit and had no visible bruises.
His mother said he started “beating himself up” during a recent visit home, however, and that his eye doctor worries he’ll do permanent damage.
“The judge and the legislature are taking my son’s life away,” Mrs. Bernstein said. “If he doesn’t stop hitting his head he’s going to go blind.”
If God has called you to really be like Jesus in all your spirit,
He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility,
and put on you such demands of obedience,
that He will not allow you to follow other Christians,
and in many ways He will seem to let other good people
do things which He will not let you do.
Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful
may push themselves, pull wires, and work schemes
to carry out their plans, but you cannot do it;
and if you attempt it, you will meet with such failure
and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.
Others can brag on themselves,
on their work, on their success, on their writings,
but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing,
and if you begin it, He will lead you into some deep mortification
that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.
Others will be allowed to succeed in making great sums of money,
or having a legacy left to them, or in having luxuries,
but God may supply you daily,
because He wants you to have something far better than gold,
and that is a helpless dependence on Him,
that He may have the privilege of providing your needs day by day
out of the unseen treasury.
The Lord may let others be honored, and put forward,
and keep you hid away in obscurity,
because He wants to produce some choice, fragrant fruit
for His coming glory,
which can only be produced in the shade.
God will let others be great, but keep you small,
He will let others do work for Him and get the credit for it,
but He will make you work for Him, and toil on
without knowing how much you are doing; and then
to make your work still more precious, He will let others
get the credit for the work which you have done,
and this will make your reward ten times greater
when Jesus comes.
The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you,
with a jealous love, and will rebuke you
for little words and feelings or for wasting your time,
which other Christians never seem distressed over.
So make up your mind that God is an Infinite Sovereign,
and has a right to do as he pleases with his own,
and He will not explain to you a thousand things
which may puzzle your reason in His dealings with you.
God will take you at your word; and if you absolutely
sell yourself to be His slave,
He will wrap you up in a jealous love,
and let other people say and do many things
that you cannot do or say.
Settle it forever, that you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit,
and that He is to have the privilege of
tying your tongue, or
chaining your hand, or
closing your eyes,
in ways that others are not dealt with.
Now when you are so possessed with the living God
that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted
over His peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship
and management of the Holy Spirit over your life,
you will have found the vestibule of heaven.

Most of you know I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and now living in Cincinnati, Ohio permanently since July, but I visited out here a couple times before moving out here. I’m going to compare the two towns to show why I’m staying here and never going back to Phoenix, Arizona!
Cincinnati, Ohio-People are mostly friendly, outgoing, courteous. If you ask them how they’re doing or how’s they’re day going, they say “good, how are you?” Phoenix, Arizona-People move there, people become mean and rude, even people from Ohio or anywhere in the midwest. People are always up in your business, asking you a million questions, controlling, manipulating, sending out signals and subliminal messages! You ask someone how they’re doing, or how’s your day going. They either look at you funny or meanly or they say “why do you want to know?”
Cincinnati, Ohio-It rains regularly, but not too much like the Pacific northwest. You can have a sunny day then clouds come in you get a nice storm, then the clouds go out and you have a sunny day again. Also people here know how to drive in rain. Phoenix, Arizona-”What’s rain?” And when they do get it, they don’t know how to drive in it, and get it too hard all at once and streets are flooded!
Cincinnati, Ohio-The natural environment is green grass, green trees, green green, oh and did I say green? Phoenix, Arizona-Brown, brown, brown, dead, dead, dead! People bring in unindingenous plants, like grass, palm trees, pine trees, but it’s still not a real solid dark green, dead green!
Cincinnati, Ohio-People know how to drive Phoenix, Arizona-lets turn on a turn signal after we cut someone off and change lanes! Green means go, yellow means go really fast, and red means slam on your breaks! Or some people red means lets go through the light anyways! If you’re going 10 over the speed limit you’re going too slow, you’ll get honked at and flipped off!
Cincinnati, Ohio-70s-80s-90s for the summer! Phoenix, Arizona-70s-80s-90s for the spring, 100-teens for the summer!
